Bey keeps her platinum streak alive.
Beyoncé’s fourth number one album, 4, is now also her fourth to go platinum, having been certified by the RIAA for selling over one million copies just a month after its release.
The appropriately titled LP has sold steadily since its debut and received largely positive reviews from critics. Described by Beyoncé as a "musical gumbo" of her favorite genres and sounds, it has so far spawned the singles "Run the World (Girls)" and "Best Thing I Never Had." The album was crafted with the help of producers Babyface, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Shea Taylor and others.
Beyoncé took to her website to thank her fans for their continued support.
"Thank you to all the fans that purchased the album. We hope you're enjoying it as much as we are," she said.
